At least so far!     2009 Schedule of Events         Dates in BLUE are final and set in stone. All other dates are tentative and subject to change. This is especially true for game dates prior to the game being fully sanctioned. UPDATE: Thursday, 24-NOV-2011 HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Have a safe and Very Happy Holiday! The game went off as perfectly as possible. Team one had several delays due to shuffling NPCs around, but the other two teams had a better time of it. The weather was PERFECT, and we even found a wicked cool new encounter site to use! The Board meeting took place at the After-Game Party at I-Hop, and the 34 people that were there all got CAP just for being there! :) Details will be covered in the November 2011 newsletter. Note This pretty much closes out the gaming season for 2011. There will be a Board Meeting in December to cover the Elections, and getting the games for next year set up and Sanctioned!

The mini-game "The Forge" went off as smooth as silk at AnimeFest! In addition, we had a LOT of people run through the game, far more that I feared for a Sunday night!

The game was a BLAST! It ran in the evening, and the late start time REALLY helped keep the heat to bearable levels.
When it rained - and yes, it actually RAINED in Texas in July - it really cooled everyone off nicely! Pictures of team 4, who played through the rain without stopping, are posted here.

A-Kon 22 ran this past weekend in Dallas at the downtown Sheraton Hotel.It was fun and the theme of the many of the attendees, and many of the vendors, was Steampunk!

The game took place in GLORIOUS weather a Winter's Park in Garland, Tx.

UPDATE: Sunday, 20-FEB-2011

Pat McGehearty outdid himself with TWO wonderful four-hour games. The low-line game ran first, then we had lunch -
and the Annual Board Meeting occurred during the VERY noisy lunch - then we ran the high-line game. It was a spectacular day for gaming: cool, overcast, and simply perfect!
We saw the return of two veterans who had been absent for over 10 years, AND we had a lot of new people show up and participate. All in all, a glorious day!

This was a FUN game that ran on a gorgeous day. We had a lot of new PCs playing, and we welcomed back an old friend we had not seen in years - Welcome back, Kevin!
Congratulations to Justin Murphey on another fun game in his continuing Averlast series. After seeing how the following week went, we can TRULY say that we were blessed with great weather for the game!

Chapter Board Meeting Saturday, March 28th, 2009 This is the March 2009 Board meeting of the Dallas Chapter of IFGS. The board meeting will be held at Tina Cox's house in Weatherford, TX. UPDATE: Monday, 23-MAR-2009
"Into The Woods" ran this past weekend, and despite a few screw-up by the producer , it went off VERY well! Most of the PCs I spoke with indicated that they truly enjoyed the game, and ALL of the NPCs had a blast!

The 2009 Annual Banquet started off cold, but was a huge success!
Set up done on time, the NPCs got to meet for "Into The Woods", the Board meeting started on time and ended early, lunch was SUPERB, and the mini-game rand from 1:00 pm until dark!

The Board Meeting covered a lot of ground and got the year kicked off nicely!
In fact, this looks to be our best year ever in terms of games! Check out the complete and total awesomeness that is our 2009 schedule!

We also had a mini-game, Resuce Me! that appeared to be enjoyed by all! It was mean, cruel, and horribly evil! Bwaaa-hahahahaha!
